Golden Halictid Bee
A very small species, at least the individual that I photographed. Size about 8mm. It was resting in our garden on our Thyme. It was nicely tucked away out of the wind and didn't mind much being photographed. I actually documented how this bee scratched a spot behind its head with one of its hind legs. It is one of the Lasioglossum species that ALA and GBIF don't agree on the genus, Homalictus being the alternative.
