Iron Heart Ladybird
Probably Orcus quadrimaculata, which is used intensely in Australia but not known at GBIF. It is probably a problematic taxonomic case. The genus Orcus has been linked with various other animals. Even within Coccinellidae it seems to be used by different authors for different animals, resulting in dubious taxon classifications. The specimen photographed shows a heart on a steel blue body. Hence, I chose Iron Heart Ladybird as a name for my personal use. A QuestaGame expert pointed out that this is actually Orcus bilunulatus. The same holds true for this taxon. It is unknown in GBIF and probably rightly so. That leaves me with the bad feeling that my contribution will help to spread wrong or unaccepted taxonomy. So, please, some professional taxonomists need to clear this mess up.
