Nectar Scarab Beetle

This beetle was found crawling on the a low plant in a creek bed. Update 9/12/2017: This species was found again one year later at the same place. I had named this species myself but now rename it. I here now follow the vernacular name by http://www.brisbaneinsects.com/brisbane_scarabs/NectarScarabBeetle.htm (accessed 9/12/2017). I merge the two galleries showing the same species. In my recent post I wrote: Size 15mm. Black thorax and orange elytra. Very long and hairy hind legs.
