Semi-punctated Belid Weevil
Size 16mm. Interesting, long weevil, found when I was sort of incapacitated in a mixed habitat in Brisbane. It was a solitary individual, playing dead or crawling away from my camera. The animal has a long snout, antennae that seem straight. The abdomen underside looks like it has white, short cylindric tubes attached, almost like rocket burners. Probably a lame description but I could not find this feature on other photographic representations of this species. ALA calls it Spotted Weevil, but I follow http://www.brisbaneinsects.com.au at the moment. Genus level identification seems conclusive, but I am not so sure about species characters.
