Tortoise Shelled Ladybird

Size 8mm. One of the main references for Brisbane Insect has this species as Netty Ladybird Beetle. It is called a rare encounter. ALA also describes it as a Northern species from PNG, and Northern Australia. At the same time, there are numerous occurrence records from all over the Australian East Coast (as always with a strong Museum proximity or Museum hero taxonomist proximity bias).
