Varied Carpet Beetle
Size 2.5mm. Found to be abundant on our flowering coriander plant. Despite its characteristic looks, I struggled to find a proper match. Taxonomically, it belongs to Bostrichoidea. It is actually a fighted household pest that seems to go after textiles and furniture. The beetle is between 2 and 3mm in size, has an extremely scaly body texture that I have only seen in weevils before. It is mottled in brown-yellow, black and white. Legs are thin, no obvious joints and have tiny claws.
