Eye-lashed Moth
Animal about 18mm. Found in native bush with lots of small leaves and lots of lynx and jumping spiders. One lynx spider was sitting basically over this moth, but separated by two layers of leaves. I gave this species an English name based on their huge but hidden eyes with cute and long eye lashes. Update 17/9/2016: I bumped into a picture with the identification of this animal. I am a bit in love with my own 'made-up' name, but the official vernacular name seems to be Golden Leaf Moth - quite an adequate name for sure, because both specimens found resemble dried leaves.
