Heliotrope Moth
Probably quite a common moth. I have photographed it while travelling to Western Queensland. The specimen photographed was actually dead or paralysed, wrapped in spider silk. This moth has a few host plants, one is Heliotrope - or Cherry Pie Bush after its dark purple and white colours. Update 25/11/2017: Last week, I finally documented a living specimen of this moth. Previously, I had documented it in our garden, too. Therefore, having found this moth in three very different habitats I conclude that this moth is common.
