Orange Grass Dart
This is a medium sized animal, maybe 15mm. It came out of the blue and vanished into the blue just as silently and untraceable. Originally, I didn't have much hope to be able to identify this species. I bumped into Taractrocera anisomorpha though which might be a junior or senior synonym. Actually, it was the English name, that led me to Suniana sunias. Australia collects data on both taxa and their distribution is pretty much identical. Without knowing anything about it, this taxonomic group might be due for some untangling, too, and some discipline by professionals to apply one single globally accepted taxon. Alternatively, we can still use and make up our own English names. Update 14/2/2017: Maybe it is time to admit that this has become a container taxon for me. It contains species in the tribe Taractrocerini and I am sure that several distinct species are involved according to identifications on ALA. I can not see if a revision based on molecular data has been done recently. For the moment, I will keep them together until I know what the discerning characters are.
