Varied Eggfly
Large and very common Butterfly. The males and females look a bit different to each other. The male has two large blue-white dots on the back of the wings. The underside looks quite different, mostly with brown, beautifully rimmed, nice colours. The snout is bifurcated. The antennae look like they have an orange tip. I think at least the first bit of the name Varied Eggfly is well-chosen. Some call it Common Eggfly. I could observe the behaviour that is described on Varied Eggfly. The male chosing a high place, the roof of our shed, and coming down next to me onto a blue-berry bush.
