Blue-spotted Hawker
This dragonfly was found in the morning hanging on to our Lilly Pilly bush. I was blissfully unaware of its presence until I was very close, expecting it to fly away. Maybe it was still too tired from a night with a bit of rain. I don't see any blue markings at all. They are turkise at best. But one can clearly see that some markings look different to others which are totally yellow. This species has stripes on its neck and like a moustache-shaped mouth. GBIF does not know or trust this taxon. Who are we to judge?
