This species is still a bit confused. The gallery might consist of different species, Simosyrphus grandicornis or Melangyna viridiceps. For the mating pair, I got an identification from Gerard Pennings via QuestaGame correcting my identification and assigning this species to Simosyrphus gradicornis. Thank you.
