Green Picture-winged Fly
No exact match was found for this specimen. It could be a juvenile fly. The eyes looked as iridescent as on the photo. Notice the colour pattern of the legs. The area between the lateral eyes is an orange square with black spots at the neck side. The dorsal are is elevated and has longitudinal stripes/colouration. The proboscis is large and black. An expert of QuestaGame kindly identified this specimen as a Physiphora species. The vernacular name is made up by myself.
