Yellow-spotted Owl Fly
Body size about 25mm, plus antennae and wings. This individual was found on our lemon tree. Great to learn about this animal that is neither a Damselfly (Odonata) nor has it the antennae shape of the other net-winged insects (Neuroptera). Species level identification is tentative. It was described in 1984.
