Fruit Fly Parasite Wasp
This wasp family alone has an estimated species count of about 30'000 to 50'000. This species could be Doryctobracon areolatus or an Opius species. It is quite small and is a parasitic wasp on fruit flies. You might want to read up on a paper investigating the the use and integration of a virus into its genetic framework in order to avoid immunoresponses in the parasitic host. Update 20/8/2016: I observed a wasp that could be this species. It was most probably laying eggs into the sap channel of a leaf, specifically a lemon tree leaf. It did not react much to me being around. It stayed where it was, all of a sudden started moving its wings sidewards, lowering its abdomen and clearly pointing its ovipostor on a sap channel. It repeated the same behaviour once or twice after covering its abdomen with its wings in between like it normally does. In conclusion: my chosen English name might not be such a good descriptor and I might change it, but hoping for more confirmatory observations.
