Hoverfly Parasite Wasp

Size about 9mm. Found on artichoke plant in our garden. Only the identification opened my eyes for what is going on there. We have a few thirps on decaying artichoke leaves. With them come ants, wasps, spiders and all sorts of insects. There are also many Hoverflies. This guy obviously parasites its larvae. And guess what, that is what I photographed in the next frame, a hoverfly larvae, without realising what it was. It looks like a caterpillar.
