Reflective Green Wasp
A small blub on the leaf of our native bush (probably Grevillea) turned out to be two tiny insects. The larger one is probably 2mm. They must have been in a mating dance of some sort. I think they might be wasps even if the colouration points towards them being flies. Since that was a mating ritual, the animals are adults. The smaller one, supposedly the male, seemed attached to the female at times belly to belly in a reverse position. At other times, it seemed to aim its head towards the tip of the abdomen of the female, occasionally falling off backwards. The situation lasted for a few minutes and the animals didn't pay much attention to being photographed and the branch being moved. If anyone can tell more about the true identity of this amazing species, please let me know.
