Spider Parasitic Ichneumonid Wasp
Obviously, this gallery does not represent a flighted adult wasp. When I found this spider out in semi-rural bushland, I was a bit baffled by the pupae. Both animals seemed alive and happy. The spider web didn't seem much different to any of the other webs of spiders found on the same grenn plant under a large gum tree. Most webs were relatively untidy with either fallen leaves or spent food. Some spider species even mimicked that debris but when disturbed rushed to shelter. The spider affected here is probably an orb weaver of some sort. There are many resources about spider parasites. The most impressive source and base of my otherwise rather speculative identification is: http://mentalfloss.com/article/51970/meet-wasp-turns-spiders-zombie-construction-workers
