White-bellied Braconid Wasp
Size about 9mm. Resting in lemon tree out of the wind. The animal has a long ovipostor, exceeding the length of its brownish-transparent membrane wings. Front thorax is bright red-orange, head dark brown/black. Long, multisegmented antennae that might be as long as its body. Long legs with hind leg slightly darker and longer. While its belly is white going slightly into blue, the ridges of the segments are bright blue which is evident on black upper abdomen part covering about 2 thirds of the abdomen leaving only the rest white. Head relatively small, almost rectangle with big lateral compound eyes that are well separated pointing slightly forward. The animal was calm but moved on, trying to hide under a lemon leaf, crawling back up but then flying away, higher up in the tree where I could not reach. A shame I didn't get a good frontal view photo.
