Ant Spider
This family seems quite large and diverse. They are also hard to identify to species level. This gallery is probably a container for various ant spiders in the family Zodariidae. Today, 15/9/2017 I saved one tiny spider, probably short of 4mm when dry, from drowning in a drop of water near our bathroom sink. It could not escape the drop, overcome its surface tension but dragged it along for a while before seeming to have given up. It readily erected itself when I tried to blow it dry and later walked off quite fast. It was later released into our garden. It elegantly wove a tiny silk to abseil to safety of the outdoors. The arrangement of its relatively large eyes are circular. Body is very dark with some double dots arranged in a regular pattern on its abdomen. Palps were long but not extended. Fangs are big. The base of its legs were transparent and so were most joints. I was totally surprised about its double claws at the end of each leg.
