Elegant White-moustached Simaethula
This is a small spider 2-3mm that moves fast. It was windy, and the animal was gone before I could take more pictures. It looked like a tiny, blue-gold shimmering scorpion. It matches the Elegant White-moustached Simaethula from http://www.arachne.org quite well. In ALA it matches Simaethula violacea. It seems to be quite a common spider in the environment that it was found. Since I just managed to find it in the vicinity it is fair to assume that it stays stationary and is territorial. True to being a jumping spider, this animal is light sensitive and well aware of its surroundings. The second time I found it, it was more stationary but played hide and seek with me. Update: I found a bigger individual on the neighbouring bush. It was obviously involved in a fight with an even smaller spider and had probably won. Update 3/10/2016: For a while, I had not seen this spider. It is back with a few different sightings. I think, I saw a 1.5mm individual, but when I got my camera, all I found in that area was the biggest individual I have ever seen. It was about 4mm. Update 2/9/2017: I have not checked on this species in a while. Today, I found a beautiful dark specimen.
