Mangrove Two-tailed Spider
Size about 15mm. Funny how I found this spider. I had spotted a cicadiformes. I went around the tree twice trying to catch up with the animal. Changing directions didn't help. All of a sudden it was a treehopper, not the animal that I chased running away from my camera flash. When I finally caught up, a once more changed animal didn't move any more. It was about 5cm from what I now saw was a spider. This spider was head down on that mangrove tree and didn't budge either. On the photo you can see two long downwards bent spinnerets. Its head has a distinctive red mark. I am not quite sure if it is Tamopsis brisbanensis. It is an almost 100% match to a specimen from Singapore. The animal was quite dark, certainly blended in very well with the bark.
