Red Pinocchio Mite

Size about 2-3mm. Encountered several times in one rainforest session in different spots. Hence not assumed rare. What a visual particularity this animal shows with its long pointed nose and the attached antennae. Try to find its eyes! Update 23/2/2017: Confirmation that it is not rare. It obviously likes wet habitat. It was found in mangroves. One individual poked its head out of the dirt when I tried to locate and photograph a small crab nearby. Again, beautiful eyes. Recently, I read that Australia can not afford to have a single mite specialist. As a consequence, Australia does not have mites unless they are health sensitive and fine for publicity stunts.
