Variegated Lizardfish
Big, long fish that often sits on the ground. It is definitely not my favourite fish. Most underwater photographers are proud to spot this species having just caught and eaten a tiny fish in front of their eyes. It is not a sensation, because this species actually takes advantage of the disruption divers bring with them. They snap smaller fish that temporarily don't pay attention. When I spot this predator, to have minimal impact on the ecosystem, I always make sure, that smaller fish in its vincinity are safe.
