Rock Cale
Rarely seen fish at the Seaway. It was hiding placing itself sideways on a slope near the sandy bottom. It made it look like some sea weed. Identification is tentative. There is a completely different taxon that matches quite closely as well. This animal shows all sorts of green, yellow, dark and light, even white. The body seems covered in big scales that remind of a carp. The eyes seem to have a pattern around. The snout is retracted under a protruding 'nose'. The dorsal fin are divided into two sections. The first one has some spinal colouring that mimicks an eye. The hind fin part seems higher than the front one. Thet tail looks like fine rays go out starting in one point to the tips. If somebody can come up with a better, ideally the correct, identification, I am happy to change the name here.
