Three-clawed Worm-skink
The photo of this species was shared with http://www.inaturalist.org on the most restrictive level that prevents this photo and any data to be passed on. It took me hours to read all the small print to make sure I understood the terms. As a consequence, I was prepared not to get research grade identifications. In this case, I didn't get any and only stumbled across my photo on the national Australian biodiversity database. It is the same organisation that employs nudibranch science blockers and that I am only willing to support if they commit to stop supporting nudibranch taxonomists who are still living in the 1980ies and who are trying to turn the clock back in time. Update 9/2/2017: Last week, I had another encounter with this species. The long animal was alive. It was maybe about 40 to 50 centimetres long. It moved when I mowed the lawn. It let me observe it for a while but when I got the camera, the animal was gone. Good to know that they persist in the area.
