Shipworm
Found under a dead tree log in the intertidal mangrove zone (while I was trying to photograph a wasp). What looks like a worm is actually a bivalve. Very interesting to read about it. Commercially, it is a very important marine animal. It is also called the termite of the Sea, decomposes and bores wood. In order not to annoy anyone, I don't mention anti-fouling treatments that may also be directed against this animal. In some countries, this animal is a delicacy and receipes sound yummy.
